Hi, we received some cells recently from your cell catalog and are in the process of thawing them.
The matrigel concentration recommended (0.337 mg/mL) is a few fold higher than what is instructed by the manufacturer (Corning hESC-qualified matrigel).
Can you explain why you use this concentration? And if it is necessary?
Thank you!
Good morning,
We tested several Matrigel dilutions and that was the dilution which produced the best morphology for our cells on the Matrigel lot we used at that time. I would recommend to start with our suggested concentration of Matrigel until you have cells frozen. However, then you are welcome to test other concentrations of Matrigel that work best for the lot you are currently using. Please reach out to us if you have any other questions.
